Rob MacGoey launched The Ireland Funds app, which he and his team at PwC had very kindly developed for the Young Leaders. • After lunch, Rob MacGoey chaired a panel discussion with: Susan Davis, Founder of Susan Davis International; and Shane Naughton, Co-Founder, Artech Holdings and board directors of The American Ireland Fund. Both Susan and Shane spoke passionately about philanthropy in Ireland. • In the final working session of the Summit, the Global Leadership Network (GLN) was launched. The inaugural class of the GLN was unveiled and following a Q&A, the session came to a close. • The closing party was held at Tavern On The Green in Central Park. John Fitzpatrick and Kieran McLoughlin addressed the Young Leaders and introduced the keynote speaker, Shaun Kelly, Global COO, KPMG International and board director of The American Ireland Fund. After a fascinating, inspiring, and witty keynote Shaun announced that KPMG would once again support the Global 5K this year, which was met with rapturous applause! • Shaun was followed by Mairead Healy, Founder and CEO of Future Voices, an innovative, award- winning Irish youth human rights organization, empowering at-risk young people to transform their own lives. Mairead spoke openly about her personal loss and how it drove her to become a change-maker, and a leader for young Irish students. • The party was closed with the annual Young Leader Summit Awards, aka ‘The Youngies’. • The now famous after-party was hosted in the Wheeltapper at Fitzpatrick’s Grand Central.
