Charities Institute Ireland and The Ireland Funds
We are living in a period of transition and change. The latest revolution in technology and economics have changed the way we shop, the way we bank, the way we consume media. Our sense of local engagement has changed. And, the charity sector in Ireland has also undergone a huge period of change. Charities Institute Ireland is helping to strengthen the Irish nonprofit sector by promoting transparent reporting, ethical fundraising practices and good governance.

Children’s Medical & Research Foundation
The Children’s Medical & Research Foundation is dedicated to making an impact for sick children across Ireland.   CMRF Crumlin have provided significant philanthropic investment into developing and enhancing the cardiac and gastroenterology wards, with support of The Ireland Funds. These transformation projects provide greater dignity to children with chronic illness and their families.

Cinemagic
Cinemagic engages with 40,000 people on an annual basis and support from The Ireland Funds enables the organization to develop and deepen its reach through the power of film. Cinemagic is changing lives and transforming young people’s outlook, particularly at a cross-community level.

Early Learning Initiative
With support from The Ireland Funds, the Parent Child Home Program (PCHP), an innovative, home based literacy and parenting program, has helped hundreds of parents to develop the confidence and skills to support their children’s language, literacy and numeracy development.

Mary Daly Fund
Chuck Daly, a close friend of Sir Anthony O’Reilly and Dan Rooney, the Co-Founders of The Ireland Funds, was a member of the original Ireland Fund Board and served for almost four decades.  Chuck, Mary’s family and friends established the Mary Daly Fund in her honor. In 2017 after three decades of support for projects in West Cork, The Mary Daly Fund made its last and largest-ever grants.

Music Generation
Ireland’s national music education program was made possible through the ongoing philanthropic investment of U2 and The Ireland Funds. To date the achievements and impact of Music Generation have been extraordinary: 41,000 children and young people are currently receiving access to high-quality music tuition in their locality each year.

National Gallery of Ireland
The Ireland Funds in partnership with Bank of America enabled a challenging three-year project that has given a great cultural gift back to Ireland. The conservation of The Marriage of Strongbow and Aoife at the National Gallery of Ireland is now complete.

The Ireland Funds Business Plan Competition
The Ireland Funds Business Plan Competition was founded by Bill McKiernan, The Ireland Funds America Board Member, and is modeled on a similar initiative run at Harvard Business School. Now in its sixth year, the competition offers a top cash prize of €10,000 and an opportunity to pitch  business ideas in front of leading entrepreneurs, executives and venture capitalists from the US and Ireland. The 2017 winner was Dublin-based start-up, Aurius.
