b"TheIreland Funds GOLFThe Eithne & Paddy Fitzpatrick Memorial Fund Celebrates the 26th Annual Golf Tournament The 26th Annual Eithne & Paddy Fitzpatrick Memorial Golf Tournament took place on Monday, May 13th, 2019 at the Sleepy Hollow Country Club, one of the countrys most prestigious and attractive golf courses, located in Scarborough, NY. The Eithne & Paddy Fitzpatrick Memorial Fund was created in 1993 in honor of the late parents of John Fitzpatrick, The Ireland Funds America Chairman. Its mission wasand still isto help deserving charities and service projects back home in Ireland and here in the United States. The Memorial Fund works closely with The Ireland Funds to sup-port a diverse group of worthy organizations that focus on a range of much needed initiatives including expanding educational opportunities, helping families and children affected by serious illnesses, delivering social services to the elderly and fostering peace and understanding between people in troubled areas. Some of the projects supported are, Barretstown Camp, the Integrated Education Fund, the New York Irish Center, the O'Hanlon Park Boxing Club in Dundalk, Barnardos, the Irish Arts Center and many more. Irish Golf Pro Eamonn Darcy, a four-time winner on the European Tour, attended the event, along with notable Irish football manager Mick McCarthy and Irish football legend, Robbie Keane. During this year's event, the amount raised was record breaking, bringing the total amount raised to date to over $4.5 million dollars.
