On Friday the 27th of February, fifty supporters of the Ireland Funds were invited by Alasdair McDonnell MP and the office of the SDLP at Westminster to a private tour of the historic Houses of Parliament.
Guests were treated to an insightful tour covering the construction of the building, many ancient traditions still adhered to today and a behind the scenes look at the day to day workings of parliament.
The important role this building has played in history was not lost on those present and after the tour guests retired to a local wine bar to enjoy some well-earned refreshments, network and reflect on the experience.
