The Sydney Young Leaders held their annual Christmas get together on November 30th this year at the Sydney Opera Bar. Unfortunately the heavens opened just as the event was about to get underway, but the torrential downpour was short-lived and our diehard supporters were unfazed by the storm, joining us for a glass of festive cheer and to raise some money for the Australian Ireland Fund.
Young Leader Louise Kelly welcomed guests and announced the winners for our amazing raffle prizes, which included a voucher for Oscar Oscar Hair Salon in Paddington (won by Aisling O’ Carroll), tickets to see Bell X1 (won by Jason Ryan), a What to Wear Wardrobe Consultation by Shauna Currenti (won by Arlene Reynolds) and a bottle of Baileys (won by Alan Connolly). The raffle raised over $600 on the night for our numerous worthy causes.
A special word of thanks goes to Peter Ryan, Australian Ireland Fund Board Member and Bruce Solomon for organising such a wonderful venue at Opera Bar, allowing our Young Leaders to network whilst enjoying the views of one of Sydney’s most iconic locations.
2017 will be an exciting year for the Sydney Young Leaders, as it will mark the 30th anniversary for the Australian Ireland Fund. Watch this space for more details!
