Sotheby’s Irish Art Auction The Director’s Boardroom Lunch Friday, 16th October 2015 The Ireland Fund of Great Britain is hosting a private lunch in the Director’s Boardroom and an exclusive walk through by key staff of the UK’s only planned, stand-alone Irish art sale. One of the highlights of the auction includes Sir William Orpen’s Nude Girl Reading, one of the artist’s most sensational nudes, depicting his lover Yvonne Aubicq. The sale will comprise works by the leading artists of the 19th and 20th century, with an emphasis on contemporary Irish art, which will go on sale to the public on 21st October. |
