San Francisco Annual Women’s Luncheon 2012

The 2012 San Francisco  Women’s Luncheon at the Four Seasons on December 6th saw women from the San Francisco Bay Area coming together to enjoy a wonderful afternoon of camaraderie, delicious food and delightful entertainment.  It was the scene of a wonderful reunion of old friends and the opportunity to develop new ones.   There were several very secure men in attendance and as Board Director, Bart Murphy, said in his welcome, ”Blessed art thou among women.”  Bart warmly greeted the guests and introduced The American Ireland Fund video which gave a wonderful overview of many of the projects that are supported by The Worldwide Ireland Funds Promising Ireland Campaign.

Former Luncheon Chair, Meagan Levitan, introduced guest speaker, Patrick Meade, Chief Operating Officer of Bonhams.  Meagan regaled the room with a tale of her own personal auction experience, a great segue to Patrick’s captivating presentation.  The room listened intently as Patrick engaged and educated the guests with his knowledge and wonderful anecdotes from the auction world.

San Francisco AIF Young Leader, Jacqueline Paulin, conducted the exclusive drawing and Honorary Luncheon Chair, Maryon Davies Lewis, drew the winning tickets.  Maryon sent eight very happy guests home with fabulous prizes that included a customized trip to Ireland, stays in New York and San Francisco, spa treatments, and lovely holiday treats.

In all it was a wonderful afternoon that was a superb start to the Christmas season; a great tribute to the work of The American Ireland Fund.
