New York Leadership Forum Breakfast 2014

On Wednesday, March 5th, the New York Young Leaders gathered at the New York offices of Havas Worldwide for a leadership breakfast highlighted by keynote speaker and Chief Talent Officer of Havas Creative Group, Patti Clifford.

The morning got underway with a generous breakfast spread sponsored by Steering Committee member Rachel Conlan who greeted guests as they arrived at Havas’ sleek Tribeca offices. While the Young Leaders enjoyed their breakfast, National Director of The Young Leaders, Pat Tully greeted the group and spoke about Headstrong, Ireland’s National Centre for Youth Mental Health. Throughout the 2014 calendar year, the Young Leaders will be highlighting five different projects currently receiving grants from The Ireland Funds. The five projects were chosen by the Young Leaders during the third annual Young Leaders Summit in January.

Pat then introduced Patti Clifford who began by discussing her Irish roots (Mom from Donegal, Dad from Galway) and then spoke about the hiring and managing of talent in an environment that has drastically changed with technology and changes in corporate structure.

Patti finished the morning by taking questions from the Young Leaders regarding various issues in the ever-changing world of Human Resources. As a parting gift, Patti gave everyone a copy of the book The Talent Mandate by Havas CEO Andrew Benett.
