LA Young Leaders Society Launch 2013

Tuesday, February 12th marked the official launch of The Los Angeles American Ireland Fund Young Leaders Society.  The event was held at The Jonathan Club in downtown LA and hosted by Los Angeles Regional Advisory Board Member, Sean Kneafsey.

AIF West Coast Director, Marjorie Muldowney, welcomed guests at a special luncheon to kick off this inaugural gathering of a new and vibrant group of young professionals aged 25-40.   An enthusiastic group of Los Angeles Regional Advisory Board members  – Harry Hartford, Kaitlyn Cafferky Kyle, Conor Shalloe, and Brendan Carroll –  were on hand to welcome Rob Ennis, Eoin Gubbins, James  Kearney, Michelle Loughran, Caitlin McGinty, Cliona McCarthy, and Sean Murphy (son of longtime AIF friend and supporter, Jimmy Murphy of the renowned Jimmy's, the elegant Beverly Hills home-away-from-home, where the rich and famous dined for 21 years).

Other guests included Susan Hartford, Charlie Callinan and Dave Walsh.  The camaraderie and enthusiasm that emerged from this newest Young Leaders Society was truly exciting and we look forward to producing a slate of events that will help build this important network.

Paving the way for the future, the AIF Young Leaders Society cultivates an emerging generation of philanthropists while providing a networking forum and a connection with modern Ireland.  The Los Angeles chapter provides the Irish American community and friends of Ireland a chance to support the work of The American Ireland Fund on a local level.
