This is a 5K with a difference!
The Global 5K
Starting in Brisbane, Australia, The Ireland Funds’ Young Leaders will run a 5km race in their respective cities before passing the ‘virtual baton’ off to the next city. This event spans over 20hrs and covers 85km in 17 cities across 8 different countries.
The Ireland Funds Great Britain is proud to announce that it is partnering with London Irish Rugby this year to stage its 5K run at Hazelwood – The Home of London Irish.
Transport
Runners will be transferred to Hazelwood from a central London meeting point by bus, provided by Plan Ahead Travel who have kindly supported us to honour the memory of Billy Higgins who recently passed away.
The Run
The 5K kicks off at 12pm at Hazelwood’s excellent pre-marked 5K track. Lockers and showers will be provided.
The After Party
Following the run, all participants will be treated to a 2-course lunch before being transferred by bus back to London at 3.00pm.
