Emerald Isle Dinner Dance

Over 250 donors and their guests gathered in the magnificent Magnolia Room of the Breakers Hotel for this years Palm Beach Dinner Gala.  They sat down to a wonderful Celtic collection of company, conversation and corned beef!

Dinner Chair, Bill Finneran, welcomed all the guests and thanked them for ensuring that the Dinner exceeded last years total.  Kieran McLoughlin, President and CEO of The Worldwide Ireland Funds explained the importance of the donors' generosity and the work it facilitates across Ireland, North and South.

Palm Beach Regional Advisory Board Chair, Tom Quick, and National Board Director, Michele Kessler, presented the Humanitarian Award to Bob and Susan Wright.  They spoke most movingly of their own family’s experience of autism and the work of Autism Speaks.  The Fund was privileged to recognize and salute two such wonderful philanthropists.

Guests from across the country and from Ireland where entertained by Mezzo-soprano Irene Roberts from the Young Artist Program at Palm Beach Opera who sang  “Glocca Morra” from Finnian’s Rainbow and “Habanera” from Carmen.

Guests danced the night away to the sound of the Sultans of Swing which crowned a great Irish night.
