Dallas WineGeese Dinner with Clive Coates 2013

Clive Coates, Master of Wine and one of the most highly regarded wine authorities in the world, was in Dallas to attend a special dinner featuring Burgundian wines at the City Café Monday April 8th.

WineGeese Founding Chairman John Tillotson and WineGeese Southwest Chairman Cliff Miercort were on hand to welcome the guests for a wonderful evening of wine and food.  Also attending were AIF board directors Mike Corboy and Tom Codd.  Dr Caitríona Ryan represented the Dallas Young Leaders at what everyone agreed was a fun and festive event.

WineGeese members will know Clive Coates from his leading the WineGeese through Burgundy in June 2012. Archie Bennett toasted Clive for his patience, good humor, and stiff-upper-lip as he tromped through Burgundy with the WineGeese.

Clive Coates is well-known for The Vine, his independent fine wine magazine, which ran from 1984 to 2005, back issues of which continue to be in high demand. His books are widely considered the classic works on their respective subjects including Côte d’Or, A Celebration of the Great Wines of Burgundy, and the newly released The Wines of Burgundy.

Special thanks to Karim Alaoui and chef de cuisine Mario Flores and the City Café staff for a special evening of good wine, good food, and great service.
