About the honoree.

Adm Patrick M Walsh, US Navy (Ret)
Admiral Patrick M Walsh is a retired US Navy four-star admiral whose previous assignments include Commander of the US Pacific Fleet (2009-2012), the Vice Chief of Naval Operations (2007-2009), and the Commander of the US Naval Forces Central Command (2005-2007).  He retired from the Navy on 1 March 2012 after more than 34 years of service.  Admiral Walsh graduated with honors from Dallas Jesuit College Preparatory, received the BS degree from the United States Naval Academy, and the Inteational Relations MA and PhD from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, Tufts University. Admiral Walsh transitioned to the private sector in Dallas where he is involved in several community activities to assist veterans. He views efforts “to bridge the gap from deployment to employment” as our moral imperative to welcome our all-volunteer force back to the civilian world.
