The Ireland Funds China along with Chun Wo Construction and FEXCO sponsored the inaugural Darkness Into Light Hong Kong walk in aid of Pieta House in Ireland and the Suicide Crisis Intervention Centre operated by the Samaritan Befrienders Hong Kong.
More than 400 supporters registered in Hong Kong and set out through the city shortly after 3 am in the darkness of night to walk in support of suicide prevention services and to symbolically culminate the walk as the sun rose.
Special mention goes to David Simpson of The Ireland Funds China, Niall Kelly of Chun Wo Construction and Pieta House for a superbly organized event connecting Ireland and China through philanthropy.
