Chicago Young Leaders and friends celebrated the beginning of St. Patrick’s Day season in style at the 9th Annual Green Gala at Chez. This marquee event for the Chicago Young Leaders kicked off with live Irish music from Paddy Homan and Johnny Williams, delicious food by Premier Catering, donated beverages from Breakthru Beverages and a special tasting from The Connacht Whiskey Company.
Pat Tully, Vice President of Development, welcomed guests and graciously thanked the event committee and sponsors. Cliona Doyle, Director of the Young Leaders, highlighted the work of The Ireland Funds, followed by Abbey Canning and James Keeley, Green Gala Chairs, who encouraged involvement in the Chicago chapter.
A trip to Ireland was auctioned off by Pat Tully and following a video about The Ireland Funds’ support of the Trinity Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities the generosity to The Ireland Funds continued with strong support for the donation appeal. The silent auction featured over fifty enticing prizes, such as Chicago Bears and Cubs tickets, sports memorabilia, and trips to Bali, Cancun and Sonoma.
Revelers showed off their moves on the dance floor once Signature Entertainment filled the room with music and the last stop of the evening was the after party at Timothy O’Toole’s Pub right next door.
