The Global 5K is the flagship event for the Australian Young Leaders of The Ireland Funds and now in its 9th year.

Please join us to support and raise funds for My Mind in Ireland and Beyond Blue in Australia..

In 2022 you can run or walk your 5kms on an outdoor course of your choosing on Saturday September 24th and track your time via our SportSplits Tracker app.

We will also provide you with training & nutritional tips along the way as well as a downloadable bib to don for your run. Put a team together or head out solo on the trail of your choice and join friends of The Ireland Funds around the world for this unique global event. Once registered, claim your profile on the SportSplits Tracker app and hit the trails!

Corporate Wellness

Attention Companies! The Global 5k is perfect for any corporate wellness programme!

Simply register your company as a Team and encourage your staff to join, directions on how to do this are on our registration page.

• When: Clock your 5km via the SportSplits Tracker app any time between the hours of 8am and 6pm on Saturday 24 September (AEST).
• Venue: Any 5km outdoor course of your choosing, we would love to see you run in your home town, and show us on social media
• Course: 5km

Entry Fee

• REGISTRATION – $30 for all over 16 years of age
• Under 16s free as long as accompanied by an adult.

Registration includes: Exclusive access to training and nutrition tips from our G5K Ambassadors, a printable bib and a finisher’s certificate.

The registration fee enables us to continue to support worthwhile projects in Ireland and Australia. From the 2021 Australian Global 5k we raised over $30,000 to support mental health project Beyond Blue in Australia and the Special Olympics.

We invite everyone to join us to run, walk, with a dog in tow or push the pram around a course of your choosing! There will be prizes for best dressed and most iconic finish line, so print out your bib and pin it to the front of your favourite t-shirt (the more colourful the better), or a rugby, footy or GAA jersey, a previous year’s Global 5k t-shirt, or if you’d like to take part in fancy dress then go right ahead. Don’t forget to snap a selfie along the way!

For our Sydney runners we are planning a post run celebration at The Orient Hotel at The Rocks from 1pm, join us for a well-deserved post run catch up.
