The Sydney Young Leaders held their Kick Off Drinks 2022 on Thursday 17 February we were kindly hosted by Peter Ryan at the fabulous Mrs. Jones Terrace at the Orient Hotel in the Rocks.
The room was full of smiles and laughter as we all came together again after way too long and celebrated the announcement that we are coming to the end of socialising restrictions, and we can look forward to vertical drinking and dancing from next week and into the month of March for all our St Patrick’s day celebrations.
Our Young Leader Chair Melissa Fisher welcomed everybody and updated our attendees on the work of the Young Leaders who were very excited to announce that is 2021 despite the covid restriction they achieved their fundraising goal of $50,000. Melissa thanked everyone that participated in the Global 5k, the movie night and all the financial young leaders. The charities supported by the Young Leaders in 2021 were Beyond Blue and Special Olympics Ireland.
Looking into 2022 the Young Leaders are very excited to be planning more opportunities to connect and are looking forward to celebrating our 35th Anniversary Gala Dinner and will once again be holding our Global 5k in September and a corporate breakfast series. Aiming to again hit the fundraising goal of $50k in 2022.
