We had such a wonderful and very special night with Dermot Kennedy, Multi Platinum, Irish singer songwriter on the 20th of May in Sydney. What a talented and very nice, kind and thoughtful young man. A huge thank you to David Kelly for hosting us at PwC, Tristan MacManus for joining us and to Brett Murrihy for making the night possible.
Dermot was very, very generous indeed to take time out to attend our event for 80 people, helping us to thank and recognize the people that support us but also giving us an opportunity to provide an update on the work of the Fund and how impactful and important what we do is.
It was even more special to have Dermot with us as we celebrate our 35th Anniversary this year and Chairman Yvonne le Bas was very pleased to be able to tell guests this annual June grant round will see us raise our total donations to Ireland and Irish causes around the world including here in Australia to over $15 million across the pillars we support, education, community development, peace and reconciliation and arts. Directly supporting over 126 organisations, many more than once.

We are passionate about the work of The Ireland Funds, giving back to the country we were born in and to those less fortunate than ourselves. A lot of us received a free education in Ireland, assisting us to make a wonderful life for ourselves.
We are a network with a purpose, we bring people together to have fun, enjoy great activities and company giving us all joy and at the same time we know we are doing something good, we are giving back!
