On a sunny Saturday morning the 2019 Australian part of the Young Leaders’ Global 5K was kicked off in Brisbane. The Brisbane leg of the run was graced by fabulous weather and an enthusiastic bunch of early risers to run around the stunning banks of the Brisbane River.
The run was followed by a tasty barbeque and treats from home, thanks to Taste Ireland.
Young Leader Jude Bolger thanked everyone for attending and spoke about the fact that funds raised at events such as the YL Global 5k are vital to support the Young Leaders’ chosen charities, which for 2019 are:
Caracare, Science Gallery Melbourne, Jigsaw, Irish Men’s Sheds, Soar and Suas
A lovely morning was enjoyed by all, with everyone making connections and getting the body moving for a good cause. We are looking forward to expanding numbers for next year’s #YLGlobal5K!
