On Thursday June 2, 2011, the Ireland Fund of Canada together with St. Brigid’s Centre for the Arts & Humanities and St. Patrick’s Home of Ottawa Foundation hosted the 2nd annual Emerald Evening.
This year the event was held at the official residence of the Irish Ambassador to Canada. Over 300 guests enjoyed the entertainment including fiddle music, Sue Fay Healy's Irish dancing lassies, and Dan Dunlop and his band.
Larry Bradley and Pat Kelly of the Heart and Crown Irish Pubs provided the food, Guinness and serving staff. "There wasn't ever any question, they just did it," said McMilllan partner Patrick Murray.
Patrick Murray, Director of the Ireland Fund of Canada chaired the event committee with his brother, Brian Murray from Sakto Corporation, and Greenbridge Consulting's Patrick Dion.
