The dedication of our donors is a key driver behind our work. Our donors enjoy access to an extraordinary network of global supporters and events. Most importantly, a partnership with The Worldwide Ireland Funds provides the opportunity to make a tangible and lasting gift that helps Ireland bridge the past and the future.

Overview

Mission

The Worldwide Ireland Funds are a philanthropic network that supports worthy causes in Ireland and around the world. Our mission is to be the largest network of friends of Ireland dedicated to supporting programs of peace and reconciliation, arts and culture, education and community development throughout the island of Ireland and around the world.

Founded in 1976, The Worldwide Ireland Funds currently operate in 12 countries and have raised over $500 million for over 3,000 outstanding organizations.

At IFC, we are proud to be part of one of the largest private funding sources for innovative work across the island of Ireland.

Purpose in Greater China

  • We identify, monitor, fund and mentor charities and non-profits that are aligned with our global mission.
  • We work closely with our donors and sponsors to ensure that our support is channeled in an effective and economic manner.
  • We proactively identify, recruit and harness the friends of Ireland across the Greater China region to grow and foster an Irish diaspora network in one of the most dynamic regions of the world.

The Young Leaders Society

The Young Leaders Society attracts professionals aged 25-40 into the Worldwide Ireland Funds. Paving the way for the future, the Society cultivates an emerging generation of philanthropists while providing a global networking forum and a connection with modern Ireland.

With vibrant events around the world and a well-established and growing global network, members are a significant fundraising source for the work of The Ireland Funds and gain unprecedented access to senior global leaders.

How we raise funds

The IFC relies on donations from private individuals, corporations and other non-statutory sources. We host fundraising events, prize draws and auctions, from which all proceeds go towards executing our mission.

We are grateful to all our donors and partners who have given generously.
